Subterraneans are a species who reside underneath the surface of Planet 46. They fired several planetomic missiles at planet Earth in the Fireball XL5 episode, Planet 46. When Steve Zodiac and Doctor Venus found the enterance to their complex while searching the planet, they were captured and Venus was forced into the next missile targetted on Earth. Zodiac was able to escape and take the Subterrain Chief with him to force the crew of the missile along with Venus to eject. Ever since then, the subterrains have plotted to destroy Steve Zodiac as vengance for the imprisonment of their chief.
