Iris Richens in the documentary Captain Scarlet S.I.G. c. 2001
Iris Richens (1923 - c. 2010s) was a wardrobe mistress and costume designer. She was A.P. Films' tea lady during the production of Thunderbirds before receiving an unlikely promotion and becoming head of wardrobe on Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967-68), succeeding Elizabeth Coleman. She later worked for Gerry and Sylvia Anderson on Joe 90 (1968-69), The Secret Service (1969), and UFO (1970-71). She also worked in the wardrobe department on the 1986 film Space Police.
Richens was interviewed for the 2001 Captain Scarlet documentary Captain Scarlet S.I.G..
She died in or around the 2010s (exact date unknown). In January 2024, her grand-niece Emily said that Richens "has been gone a long time".
